Out of the Mouths of Babes

Sometimes, it takes the clarity and simplicity of a child's expression to distill complex issues to their essence. Here is 12-year old "Lia," who fought for the right to give a speech about abortion in a school competition. After you watch the video, you'll understand why she won.

  1. Great free speech, and congratulations to her for winning. What a delivery! When she gets a little older, perhaps she'll broaden her sources ('Focus on the Family?!?') and understand what her statistics are saying. Or not. It really will be her ... choice. And hopefully she will never be in the "1% 'hard cases'", or work to make the procedure illegal, or make a mistake in judgement ... from what I've read, those promise rings and abstinence vows don't work too well.
